Frequently asked questions

Question: Does the radio station work during the winter?

Answer: Yes. The radio station operates in all weather conditions. It is not obstructed by the thick snow cover, the radio signal is able to propagate through snow, land, pavement or wall of the house. In the event of a thick layer of snow, we recommend turning the wider radio signal band around the boundary wire.

Question: How much electricity does a radio-controlled large dog consume?

Answer: Radio transmitters use the same amount of power regardless of model or cable length. The manufacturer claims that the required power is about 1w, which has almost no impact on your electricity bill.

Question: Is it possible to use winter batteries in the radio-receiver (collar). Usually at low temperatures the batteries lose energy quickly.

Answer: Pet safe does not recommend the use of "winter batteries" or rechargeable batteries for systems that are not designed for this. Using the wrong battery can damage the device and void your warranty.
